One common situation where this connector is needed is to connect a top cap rail from a staircase to a landing on the same line.The discrepancy of height (34″-38″ on the stairs to at least 42″ on the landing) will require this connector plus a 316 Stainless Steel Adjustable Connector UP for 1.67″ x 1.67″ Round Top Cap Rail for Glass Railing (sold separately).
